Programme Information


The Department of Turkish Language Teaching was established in Gazi University Gazi Educational Faculty Turkish Language and Literature Education Department in 1992-1993 by YÖK's EÖ/07.02.003/1752-11714 numbered  and dated 1.6.1989 decision. This is the first Turkish Education undergraduate program in Turkey. The aim of the department is to educate students as efficient teachers who are qualified with the scientific point of view, the intellectual inquisitiveness, and the efficiency of Turkish.

The vision of the Department of Turkish Education; To train Turkish teachers and academicians who think scientifically, are open to innovations, have an Ataturkist thought system, and can use contemporary information technologies for the needs of the country by providing a qualified education on Turkish education and teaching. To bring new methods and techniques to our country by following the developments in the world related to Turkish education and teaching. To take part in projects such as Turkish education, citizenship education and human rights. To be in cooperation and communication with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions that can contribute to the professional development of Turkish teacher candidates.

The mission of the Department of Turkish Education;

To provide the necessary infrastructure for Turkish education and teaching, to closely follow all innovations in the field of Turkish education, to follow domestic and international publications, to benefit from technology; to conduct research on the disciplines under the roof of Turkish, to investigate how the achievements of these disciplines can be given more effectively in Turkish lessons, to train responsible teacher candidates who know the methods and techniques related to Turkish teaching very well, who are inquisitive, inquisitive and have strong communication skills and who can transfer these skills to the students they will train. To train Turkish teachers who are committed to the general objectives of Turkish National Education and Atatürk's Principles and Reforms and citizens of the Republic of Turkey who know their rights and responsibilities.
